Time flies when you're having fun!

Well, I made it past my first full week back to work, and I think our babysitters did too! :) haha. They are a life saver when it comes to keeping the girls while Spencer and I work. They have no idea how calming it is to know that our children are safe at home with their grammies instead of at a daycare with a gazillion other kids (who are probably sick and spreading germs). It sure has made going back to work a lot easier for sure (even though I wish I could be home with them still!).

The girls are changing almost daily now. They can both hold their own heads up (even though they look like bobble heads right now), and are getting stronger everyday. Both girls LOVE to smile at their mommy when I come home at night and they hear my voice for the first time. That is the best part of my day! They will just sit and talk to me for hours when I get home (or at least until it is supper time again!) haha. Not a whole lot of noise comes out of their mouthes yet when they try to talk but their mouthes sure do move a lot. So cute! They are also learning how to swat at things now too like toys above their heads.

We finally got our pictures in from the photographer and they turned out so good! We can't wait to do it again this summer sometime. I am all about capturing every moment with them on camera or video. These girls are the light of our lives!!! And I have to say that they are already working towards their supermodel status! haha. Don't you agree with looking at these pictures? So gorgeous my girls are. Poor Spencer has a lot of long years ahead of him with these two I'm afraid!

Back to work...

Hey everyone! This week was a big week for us. First, we had our first family pictures taken. The lady that took our pictures is a friend of my friends Harriet and Fred, but she was also a nurse who took care of Audrey and Natalie when they were in the NICU. She has a photography business when she isn't at the hospital and she does a great job. I can't wait to share the pictures with you all. We go tomorrow to look at all the final products and pick out which ones we want. Here is a sneak peek...she posted some of our pictures on her blog. http://leperephotography.blogspot.com/

On Wed. this week, I started back to work full-time. It was not easy, but at the same time it was nice to get out of the house a little bit. I couldn't wait to get home that night and just sit with my girls and hug on them. I could tell they missed us too, which made my day. We're in the middle of trying to get a routine down now that Spencer and I are both back to work and both Grammy's are babysitting for us. So far, besides just being physically tired all day long from no sleep at night, we are doing good. Luckily my boss is understanding and knows how hard it is to come back to work and leave your kids at home. He said if I was having a difficult day being away from them, to let him know, and I could go home to be with them. I thought that was very nice of him! Makes the transition a little easier to handle. Well, I guess that is about it for now. The girls are growing by the day (or minute really). They can just about hold their own head's up now and they are starting to grunt and coo at each other and us like they want to talk. So adorable. Hope everyone had a great Valentine's Day!!!

We're getting big too fast!

Hey everyone! First I want to welcome Sheryl, my mother, to Chattanooga. She moved up here to help with the kids while Spencer and I work for a year which we so appreciate, she has no idea. Of course, we can't forget Darlene either who is sacrificing 2 days of working a week to watch the girls too. Thank you both SO MUCH! We love you. My first day back to work is Feb 11th, next week, and I'm not looking forward to leaving the girls, but I know they will be in great hands.

The girls are getting way too big too fast! I know people told me to cherish every minute with them, but I never knew how true it was until now. Audrey had a doctor's appt this week because her eye was acting up (she is fine now), and she already weighed 8lbs 13oz. That is getting close to double what she weighed when she was born. I have no idea how much Natalie weighs now, but I am guessing it is close to 9 1/2 lbs or even 10 at the rate she is eatting (and the rate her cheeks are growing). haha. She LOVES to eat that is for sure. I'm surprised she has any fingers left because she will try and eat them every time she gets hungry. It is so funny! Audrey is being our little princess, so quiet and polite. She loves to sleep right now but it is helping her grow and catch up with her sister and other 8 week olds. Who knew being a parent of twin girls could be so tiring and yet so rewarding?
