Sunshine and Smiles

Goodness, we have so much enjoyed the sunshine this past week as compared to the rainy cold weather we have been having lately. I wish I could be home with the girls to enjoy it more often, but that's life, right? Both Grammies have been taking the girls for walks during the day and they love it. They are now big enough to ride in their fashionable "Jeep" stroller which is so much easier to lug around than their limo stroller that their car seats fit in. That thing must weigh 100 pounds! Audrey had to get her second synagis shot this week and she was not happy about that at all. This shot is to help prevent RSV in babies. We definitely don't want that, so shots are good sometimes! She was a brave little girl though and only cried for just a second. While we were all at the hospital, we had them both weighed and Audrey now weighs in at 10lbs10oz. and Natalie weighs 11lbs 15oz. They are growing like weeds. It is hard to imagine them only being 4 and 5lbs 3 months ago. Time sure does fly by!

One of our favorite things the girls do often now is SMILE. I know most parents love when their children do this, so we aren't the exception to the rule, for sure. They have the most beautiful smiles and it just totally changes their faces! They specifically love it when their Daddy dances for them while getting their diaper changed. He has some great moves, as you can imagine, and they definitely show their appreciation for them by almost giggling. They haven't quite figured out how to giggle yet, but it won't be long now. Hope everyone has a wonderful week ahead! We are hoping to get out to the park a little to enjoy the outdoors for a few hours tomorrow.

Pugs and Babies!

So, a lot of people have been asking us over the last several months, "how are the dogs doing with the babies?". Well, lets just say that one of the dogs is very protective and the other one still thinks she is the baby of the house! Protector = Fudgie. Baby = Prissi. They are all getting along very well together though. I think "the girls", as they have become known over the last 4 years, are a little jealous still of Audrey and Natalie, but I think we are all adjusting wonderfully together. I still try and take them on walks as much as I can, and I know they miss going more then we get to, but as time goes on, we will get to go more together. We are currently all big one happy family which is how we imagined it before the twins were born. Note: Prissi REALLY wants a Boppy for herself! As you can see, she was caught red-handed while we were out of the room one night comfortably laying in one of them. Can you see the guilty face? I can just see her saying "finders keepers, losers weepers!" haha.

Welcome Zachar/Prutilpac Family!

We had a big weekend Feb 27th - March 1! My Grams (Zachar) came down with my Aunt Catherine (Dad's sister) and two of my cousins, Elizabeth and Yvonne. It was so nice to see everyone again and Grams wanted to meet her first great-grandchildren. She always said that she wanted twins so this was extra special for her! And as you can see, Prissi LOVED having more people in the house to pay attention to her!

Friday night, after a LONG drive down from Wild, Wonderful, West Virigina, everyone came over to the house to hang out and eat some dinner together. Thanks to mom for cooking for us! It was great. I don't get a good home cooked meal too often these days. Everytime I start to cook, the girls wake up and want held or it's time for them to eat again. Anyway, Dad came up too for the weekend which was great because he had not seen his grandchildren since they were about 2 weeks old. They have changed so much since then. So while we had the chance, on Saturday, we took a 4 generation picture with my Grams, Dad, Me, Audrey and Natalie. Aunt Catherine is going to have it posted in the Morgantown Dominion Post for Grammy!

The weather was aweful Saturday but we managed to get out and go shopping a little bit while Mom, Dad and Grams watch the girls for us. Then Aunt Catherine and Elizabeth went with my sister down to The Terminal, Ryan's new restaurant to hang out and see the new place. We had a great weekend and topped it off by having a big family breakfast together before everyone parted ways again! I miss everyone so much already. It makes me wish I lived near all my family! Hopefully Spencer and I will be able to make a trip up there this summer to see everyone again and let the girls meet all of their cousins and relatives. (That will have to be a whole page blog in and of itself if it happens!) haha! Needless to say, Audrey and Natalie loved their time with their Great-Grammy, Great Aunt Catherine, and cousins!
